First let me start by saying, Welcome!!

My name is Cara, and my husband and I have started breeding Yorkshire Terriers. Our main goal is happy healthy puppies, who are raised in a family type environment. Our dogs are never kept outside, alone and in the cold, or in a kennel all day. Instead they freely roam our house under the supervision of the “Mom” and “Dad” as well as their doggy parents.

While some people who are critics of the breed suggest keeping small children away, we recognize that we are not the only family who adores this breed, yet refuses to give away our children just to have this type of dog. Instead, we carefully watch the children around the puppies and dogs to ensure the they all learn how to interact around each other. We feel this helps the puppies adjust to better “forever” homes with the previous experience they have had with small children. This is a very important aspect to us, as we have heard numerous people say that they had to give their family dog away just because they found out they were having a baby. We feel this is a huge tragedy, and try to allow the puppies the ability to interact with children from a mere weeks of age carefully so that they can learn appropriate behavior.

Our eventual goal is to begin producing our own show breed quality line, and start showing the dogs. However, in the meantime I’m sure we will have numerous happy, healthy little puppies cross our household. We aim to find each puppy with a loving and caring home, in which they will be a good match.
